Kansas Special Olympics
includes over 115 local programs or
teams across the state with over 7,500 athletes competing year round in a
variety of sports. As a volunteer you have an opportunity to make a difference and to change lives. Not just the life of Special Olympics athlete--but your own life as well. These teams exist in your hometown or community and need your help as a volunteer to make sure that these programs keep going! The greatest need for volunteers in Kansas is at the local program level. Volunteers serve as certified coaches, drivers, finance, public relations and fundraising volunteers and event volunteers in local communities. |

To provide a quality sports programs for all individuals with mental
retardation, we rely on dedicated volunteers of all ages to assist in
many aspects of the program. Volunteering for Special Olympics
